White Suri Starfighter joined our growing herd of suri herd sires in August
2006. His fiber is dripping with shine and
excellent lock structure. He has Peruvian
Fuego in his lines as well as Peruvian Madras, both
have thrown suri champions. In 2005 his fiber
tested at 21.3 microns with a standard deviation of
5.6! His temperment runs counter to the
stereotype suri in that he's calm, tractable and
very sweet. As can be seen in the circle of
fawn on his neck - color is in his genes.
He has two beautiful suri
cria via huacaya dams as of
2007

Sire -
Brioni's Gordon
Dam - Talaris Color/Type -
Medium Brown/Suri His
name is the phonetic for the Russian word, "he
understands". This is because he couldn't
figure out how to nurse. Once he got it he
really got it. He's the youngest of the last
three '07 cria, but he's the biggest and most
outgoing. His conformation is perfect with the
character to match.

George and Henry - SOLD

These two gentlemen geldings came
to us as a package and if they ever left us it will
be as a package. We bought them when we were
first researching alpacas. George's DOB is
June 2, 1997 and Henry's is April 27, 1998.
Their fiber is good to work with and their blanket
is about three pounds each. I've used it for
dyeing, spinning, felting etc. George is on
the left.
GWA Meteorite

Mitey MIte (or Mite Mite or just
plain Mite) was brought home at the same time as
George and Henry. We decided to have
representatives of both fiber types - Suri and
Huacaya - to find out first hand if we wanted to
specialize in one or the other. We threw up
our hands and decided to go forward with both types
of alpaca. Mite was our first registered
alpaca as well as our first male to be gelded.
Mite is still shearing about five pounds of fleece
with almost two pounds of prime blanket. His
DOB is April 2, 1998. We've found he makes a
good "big brother" to our cria boys.
His fleece is bright and shiny and easy to work
with for spinning, dyeing, felting or whatever.
Sales price is $500. |
